Bombay Dyeing reported Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) unaudited results, with standalone revenue from operations falling to ₹377.84 crore from ₹450.97 crore a year ago, a decline of about 16%. Profit before tax before exceptional items dropped to ₹11.19 crore from ₹20.41 crore YoY, while profit after tax was ₹13.76 crore (vs ₹15.47 crore), boosted by a one-time tax credit of ₹5.97 crore from earlier years. The Real Estate segment recorded zero revenue and a loss of ₹4.38 crore, and the Polyester segment swung to a ₹8.42 crore loss from a ₹3.55 crore profit last year. The auditor flagged an Emphasis of Matter on the pending SEBI order (₹2.25 crore penalty and 2-year market ban, under SAT appeal with order reserved). Additionally, the Board appointed Mr. Jehangir Nusli Wadia as Vice-Chairman with immediate effect.
Shareholders should note a clear YoY deterioration in core operations, with revenue and PBT both declining sharply and two of three segments in the red; however, the headline PAT appears stable only due to a one-time tax adjustment. The pending SEBI matter remains a key overhang, though SAT has stayed the order.
