Bombay Dyeing reported standalone revenue of ₹1,460.33 crore for FY2026, down 9% from ₹1,605.43 crore in FY2025. Net profit dropped sharply to ₹26.66 crore from ₹489.83 crore, primarily because the prior year included exceptional items of ₹552.56 crore (likely asset gains). Q4 standalone revenue was ₹395.84 crore with PAT of ₹20.99 crore. The Polyester segment, the largest revenue contributor, saw decline from ₹1,457.86 crore to ₹1,379.18 crore. The Board recommended a final dividend of ₹0.40 per share (20%) and decided not to pursue a rights issue that was under consideration since 2022. Auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on both standalone and consolidated results.
The sharp decline in profit is largely due to the absence of one-time exceptional gains seen last year, not operational issues. Revenue decline in the core Polyester segment is a concern. The dividend and clean audit provide some comfort to shareholders.
