Bombay Wire Ropes Limited reported its Q3 FY26 standalone unaudited results. Total income for the quarter jumped sharply to Rs 17.21 lakhs from Rs 2.34 lakhs in the same quarter last year, a rise of more than 6x. The company swung to a profit of Rs 1.55 lakhs in Q3 from a loss of Rs 13.26 lakhs in Q3 FY25. For the nine months ended December 2025, total income grew to Rs 41.40 lakhs (vs Rs 9.81 lakhs a year ago), but the company still posted a small loss of Rs 1.86 lakhs at the bottom line versus a loss of Rs 38.32 lakhs in the prior period. The auditor's limited review report (Batliboi & Purohit) is clean with no qualifications. EPS for the quarter stood at Rs 0.03, sharply better than the Rs (0.25) loss per share in Q3 FY25.
A clear operational turnaround from a very small base — revenue has accelerated and quarterly profits have emerged after several quarters of losses. However, the 9-month bottom line is still in the red, scale remains tiny, and accumulated losses mean management has not recognised deferred tax assets due to uncertainty around future taxable profits. Existing shareholders should see this as an early-stage recovery signal rather than an established trend.
