On the reaction day the stock moved 6.1 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and 4.1 pts more than its Houseware peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

Borosil received DGTR's final findings recommending a 5-year anti-dumping duty on Borosilicate Table and Kitchen Glassware imports from China. The Directorate General of Trade Remedies confirmed dumped prices, significant dumping margins, and material harm to the domestic industry. Borosil, the sole domestic producer, had filed the application that triggered the probe. The Central Government's final notification imposing the duty is still pending. The company described the findings as a positive development.
Positive for Borosil. Anti-dumping duty would shield its glassware business from cheap Chinese imports and improve the domestic competitive environment.
