Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India (JCHAC) announced audited results for FY25 and Q4FY25 along with a final dividend of Rs. 15 per share (150% on face value of Rs. 10), against no dividend in the previous year. Full-year revenue from operations jumped to Rs. 27,564.6 million from Rs. 19,187.0 million, a growth of about 43.7% year-on-year. The company swung back to a profit of Rs. 588.3 million for FY25, compared with a loss of Rs. 757.1 million in FY24, driven by higher volumes and the absence of last year's one-time termination cost of Rs. 268.4 million. Q4FY25 alone delivered revenue of Rs. 9,325.7 million and a profit of Rs. 560.7 million (EPS Rs. 20.6). Statutory auditors Price Waterhouse & Co issued an Unmodified (clean) opinion on the financials, and the record date for the dividend has been fixed as June 10, 2025, with the AGM scheduled for June 25, 2025.
Strong revenue growth and a clean swing to profitability, combined with the return of dividends after a nil payout last year, are positive for shareholders and likely to be viewed favourably by the market. The cleaner earnings reflect recovery from last year's restructuring charges, though operating cash flow fell sharply to Rs. 832.5 million from Rs. 2,543.9 million despite higher profits, which is a point worth watching.
