Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India reported a strong turnaround for FY25 with revenue from operations rising to Rs. 27,564.6 million, up about 43.7% from Rs. 19,187 million in FY24. The company swung from a loss before tax of Rs. 990 million in FY24 to a profit of Rs. 822.5 million in FY25, partly helped by the absence of last year's Rs. 268.4 million exceptional charge for termination benefits. Net profit for the year stood at Rs. 588.3 million versus a Rs. 757.1 million loss previously, translating to EPS of Rs. 21.6 vs Rs. (27.8). Statutory auditors Price Waterhouse & Co issued an Unmodified (clean) opinion on the financial statements, and the Board has recommended a final dividend of Rs. 15 per share (150% on face value) versus Nil in the previous year.
Positive for shareholders: a clean audit, a sharp rebound in profits, and the resumption of dividends (after none last year) signal improved earnings and cash generation, which may support the stock price. Record date is June 10, 2025, with the AGM on June 25, 2025.
