Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India (JCHAC) re-submitted its Q1 FY26 results (quarter ended June 30, 2025) to correct a typographical error in the auditor's UDIN number on the limited review report; no changes were made to the actual financials. Revenue from operations fell to Rs 8,526.3 million from Rs 9,959.6 million in the same quarter last year, a decline of roughly 14%. Profit after tax dropped to Rs 234.2 million from Rs 361.5 million, while EPS fell to Rs 5.6 from Rs 13.3. The company reported a Rs 311 million inventory loss from a warehouse fire, which is fully covered by insurance, and also recorded Rs 33 million in exceptional expenses. The board declared an interim dividend of Rs 36 per share.
The revision itself is purely administrative (UDIN typo fix) and does not affect shareholder value. However, the underlying results show a meaningful year-on-year decline in revenue and profits, partly due to seasonal weakness and the one-time warehouse fire. The Rs 36 per share interim dividend and insurance coverage of the fire loss are positives for shareholders.
