On the reaction day the stock moved 1.9 pts less than its Auto Components & Equipments peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Bosch's board approved splitting each Rs 10 share into five Rs 2 shares and issuing three bonus shares for each Rs 2 share after the split. Both moves need shareholder approval by postal ballot and are targeted for completion within two months. Consolidated profit after tax for the September quarter was Rs 840 crore, up 19%. Dividends paid fell from Rs 512 to Rs 270 per share year on year. The record date is yet to be set.
Split may aid retail access and bonus raises share count without value change; lower dividend may weigh on returns. Both actions need approval.
