Brigade Enterprises reported robust FY26 results with consolidated total income of Rs 5,90,901 lakhs, up 11.2% from Rs 5,31,354 lakhs in FY25. Profit after tax stood at Rs 72,476 lakhs versus Rs 68,047 lakhs in the prior year, reflecting 6.5% growth. Revenue from operations increased 12.3% to Rs 5,69,722 lakhs. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs 2 per equity share (20% on Rs 10 face value), subject to shareholder approval at the ensuing AGM. More significantly, the Board approved a bonus issue in the ratio of 1:3 (1 bonus share for every 3 shares held), representing a 33.3% bonus. To accommodate this, the authorised share capital will increase from Rs 250 crores to Rs 400 crores, with corresponding amendment to the Memorandum of Association. Both the dividend and bonus issue require shareholder approval via postal ballot.
The bonus issue at 1:3 ratio will increase the number of shares outstanding by 33.3%, providing immediate liquidity to shareholders without cash outflow. The authorized capital increase is a procedural step to facilitate the bonus. The dividend of Rs 2 per share is modest at 20% yield.
