Britannia reported strong full-year FY2025-26 results with consolidated revenue from operations at ₹19,151.59 Cr, up 6.7% YoY, and consolidated net profit at ₹2,537.01 Cr, up 16.5% YoY. Standalone net profit grew 20.2% to ₹2,561.72 Cr. The Board recommended a final dividend of ₹90.50 per share (face value ₹1). Statutory auditors Walker Chandiok & Co LLP issued an unmodified opinion. Notable items include a ₹48.56 Cr charge for new labour codes implementation (past service cost for gratuity/compensated absences) and a ₹45.72 Cr fiscal incentive income. Tax benefit of ₹95.39 Cr was recognized due to favorable income tax orders. Consolidated current borrowings nearly doubled from ₹511.83 Cr to ₹1,071.72 Cr, while non-current borrowings reduced from ₹712.94 Cr to ₹286.11 Cr. Operating cash flow remained strong at ₹2,611.60 Cr.
The 20%+ standalone PAT growth and maiden ₹90.50 dividend signal financial strength. However, the sharp rise in short-term borrowings and margin compression may raise concerns about capital allocation and cost pressures, warranting close monitoring in the coming quarters.
