Britannia Industries posted Q1 FY26 consolidated revenue from operations of ₹4,622 crore, up about 8.75% from ₹4,250 crore in the same quarter last year. Consolidated net profit rose roughly 3% to ₹520 crore (vs ₹505 crore in Q1 FY25), while consolidated EPS stood at ₹21.62 versus ₹20.99. On a standalone basis, revenue grew to ₹4,453 crore from ₹4,094 crore (~8.75%), but standalone net profit slipped marginally to ₹498 crore from ₹502 crore as input costs and other expenses rose faster than sales. The statutory auditor, Walker Chandiok & Co LLP, issued an unmodified (clean) limited review report on both the consolidated and standalone results. There were no exceptional items in the current quarter (the prior-year quarter had a ₹24.6 crore charge towards a Voluntary Retirement Scheme at one factory).
A steady but unspectacular quarter — top-line growth was healthy in the high single digits, but bottom-line growth was modest and standalone profit actually edged down slightly, indicating some margin pressure from higher material and operating costs. Near-term stock reaction is likely to be muted unless margins improve in coming quarters.
