Brookfield India Real Estate Trust REIT has informed the Exchange regarding Disclosure of material issue
Awaiting price reaction for this filing.
Brookfield India REIT has filed a quarterly SEBI-mandated statement confirming that proceeds from two Commercial Paper (CP) issues were used entirely as intended, with no deviation or variation. The first CP issue on April 29, 2024 had a face value of Rs. 200 crore (Rs. 187.08 crore raised after discount) at 7.90% interest, while the second on August 16, 2024 had a face value of Rs. 325 crore (Rs. 300.97 crore raised after discount) at 8.03% interest. Both issuances were made via private placement and have already been redeemed before maturity on December 23, 2024, with Rs. 196.86 crore and Rs. 309.81 crore paid out respectively. The funds were used for repaying debt of the REIT and its SPVs, covering transaction expenses, capital expenditure, working capital needs, and general corporate purposes. This is a routine compliance filing under SEBI LODR Regulation 52(7).
This is a routine governance disclosure with no material impact on unit holders, as it simply confirms proper use of past CP proceeds. Both Commercial Papers were already redeemed in December 2024, meaning there is no outstanding short-term debt from these issuances, which is mildly positive for the REIT's balance sheet clarity.
