C.E. Info Systems (MapMyIndia) reported weak Q3 FY26 results with consolidated revenue from operations falling to Rs 93.68 crore, down about 18% from Rs 114.54 crore in Q3 FY25. Consolidated net profit also dropped sharply to Rs 18.76 crore vs Rs 32.32 crore a year earlier, a decline of around 42% YoY. For the nine-month period, revenue rose modestly to Rs 329.06 crore from Rs 319.71 crore, but profit after tax fell to Rs 83.09 crore from Rs 98.57 crore. Operating margins compressed as expenses, especially technical outsourcing and employee costs, grew faster than revenue. On a positive note, the Board approved a Rs 2 crore investment for a 20% stake in Prashant Advanced Survey LLP, a 3D mapping and surveying firm, to strengthen its HD mapping capabilities. The statutory auditor, M S K A & Associates, was noted to have converted into an LLP (M S K A & Associates LLP), with no change in audit tenure.
The sharp sequential and YoY drop in revenue and profit is a negative signal and may weigh on the stock in the short term, as profitability has clearly compressed. However, the strategic investment in HD mapping technology is a positive longer-term move aligned with the company's core business.
