Capital Infra Trust (formerly National Infrastructure Trust), an Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT), has closed its Qualified Institutional Placement of units. The InvIT Committee approved the allocation of approximately 17.29 crore units at an issue price of Rs. 72.30 per unit. This price reflects a discount of 4.42% to the floor price of Rs. 75.64 per unit, which was determined based on NSE trading volumes. The total issue size is approximately Rs. 1,250 crore. The placement document was finalized on December 19, 2025, and allocation notes will be sent to eligible institutional investors.
Existing unit holders will face dilution due to the issuance of new units. Pricing at a 4.42% discount to the floor price is mildly negative for current holders, though the successful closure of a ~Rs. 1,250 crore raise signals institutional confidence and provides growth capital for the InvIT.
