Captain Pipes Limited's board approved standalone and consolidated unaudited financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended 30 June 2025). Standalone revenue from operations was Rs. 2,094.36 lakhs, marginally up from Rs. 2,077.39 lakhs in Q1 FY25. However, standalone profit after tax fell sharply to Rs. 86.83 lakhs from Rs. 157.65 lakhs, a drop of about 45%. Total expenses rose to Rs. 1,981.24 lakhs from Rs. 1,872.36 lakhs, with notable increases in raw material costs, finance costs (up 27% to Rs. 41.90 lakhs), and depreciation (up 67% to Rs. 37.83 lakhs). On a consolidated basis, PAT stood at Rs. 148.53 lakhs, boosted by Rs. 61.70 lakhs share of profit from associate Captain Polyplast Limited. The statutory auditor issued an unqualified limited review report. No investor complaints were pending.
Despite stable top-line, sharp PAT decline and rising finance/depreciation costs signal margin pressure, which may weigh on the stock in the short term. The earnings miss, though partly cushioned by associate company profits on a consolidated basis, indicates weaker core profitability for the quarter.
