CEAT Limited won an appeal at the Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (CESTAT), Mumbai. The Tribunal set aside an earlier order by the Commissioner of Customs (Export) that had imposed a fine of INR 77.68 lakh and a penalty of INR 18.00 lakh in relation to EPCG licences. The matter has been determined in CEAT's favour with no violation found.
