Centrum Capital's board approved FY25 audited consolidated and standalone results on May 16, 2025. Consolidated revenue from operations jumped ~58% to Rs. 3,493 crore, led by the Banking Business (Unity SFB) where interest income rose to Rs. 2,485 crore from Rs. 1,727 crore. However, the consolidated net loss attributable to owners widened sharply to Rs. (187.48) crore from Rs. (99.35) crore, driven by higher finance costs, a one-time exceptional loss on sale of foreign subsidiaries (Centrum International Services Pte Ltd, Singapore, and Centrum Capital International Ltd, Hong Kong), and impairments. Q4 FY25 saw a swing to a Rs. 24.21 crore profit versus a Rs. 58.56 crore loss in Q3 FY25. The board approved major fundraising: up to Rs. 1,000 crore via NCDs, Rs. 1,000 crore via rights issue/private placement/QIP, and a Rs. 200 crore preferential issue of convertible warrants to promoter group entity JBCG Advisory Services. Three new directors were appointed (one non-executive non-independent, two independent), and the statutory auditor (Sharp & Tannan) issued an unmodified opinion on both consolidated and standalone results.
Strong top-line growth is encouraging, but the widening bottom-line loss combined with plans to raise up to Rs. 2,200 crore (including a potentially dilutive Rs. 200 crore preferential issue to the promoter group) may pressure the stock in the short term. The clean audit opinion and robust Rs. 2,532 crore positive operating cash flow are positives, while promoter participation in the preferential issue signals continued backing.
