Centrum Capital reported a consolidated net loss of Rs. 281.35 crore for FY26, nearly doubling from Rs. 148.58 crore loss in FY25. Total revenue grew 7.7% to Rs. 3,762.97 crore driven by Unity Small Finance Bank operations (Rs. 2,829.31 crore). However, the banking segment reported a loss of Rs. 306.25 crore due to elevated impairment charges of Rs. 849.32 crore (up 43% YoY). Exceptional gains of Rs. 201.04 crore from sale of Centrum Housing Finance and Centrum Alternatives LLP partially offset operational losses. The company also got shareholder approval to raise up to Rs. 1,000 crore each via NCDs and equity issuances. Statutory auditors issued unmodified opinions on both standalone and consolidated results.
The stock may face pressure due to near-doubling of losses driven by high impairment charges in the banking subsidiary. The Rs. 2,000 crore fund-raising authorization indicates potential equity dilution and signals the company is seeking capital to support its SFB operations and growth plans.
