Centum Electronics Limited reported its audited results for FY25 with strong standalone performance. Standalone revenue from operations grew to Rs. 747.93 crore from Rs. 632.06 crore in FY24 (~18% growth), while standalone net profit jumped to Rs. 52.80 crore from Rs. 36.25 crore (~46% growth). Basic EPS rose to Rs. 40.66 from Rs. 28.13. On a consolidated basis, revenue grew to Rs. 1,130.86 crore from Rs. 1,018.25 crore, but the company reported a net loss of Rs. 1.93 crore due to exceptional items of Rs. 13.60 crore and losses from its European subsidiary Centum T&S Group, whose net worth is eroded. The auditor S.R. Batliboi & Associates LLP issued an unmodified (clean) opinion. The board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 6 per share (60%) and approved a QIP issue that raised Rs. 210 crore, used mainly to repay borrowings.
Strong standalone earnings and a healthy 60% dividend are positive for shareholders, though the consolidated loss and ongoing weakness in the European subsidiary (Centum T&S) remain concerns. Debt reduction via the QIP strengthens the balance sheet. Watch for clarity on the subsidiary's turnaround and any further exceptional charges.
