The Board of Directors of Centum Electronics Limited recommended a final dividend of Rs.5 per equity share (50% on Rs.10 face value), subject to shareholder approval in the ensuing AGM. For the year ended March 2026, standalone total income grew 26% to Rs.9,889 million from Rs.7,827 million. However, the company reported a standalone net loss of Rs.1,170.5 million due to exceptional items totaling Rs.2,033 million, primarily comprising Rs.1,538 million provision for investment in Centum T&S Group (undergoing insolvency proceedings in France) and Rs.396 million trade receivables write-off from discontinued Canada operations. The company also allotted 18,033 equity shares under its RSU Plan 2021 and reappointed KPMG as internal auditor.
The dividend declaration signals management confidence despite substantial one-time write-offs. The exceptional items relate to overseas subsidiary restructuring and should not impact regular operations. Shareholders can expect dividend payment within 30 days of AGM approval.
