Centum Electronics reported standalone revenue of Rs 9,706.25 million for FY2026, up 25% from Rs 7,741.86 million in FY2025. However, the company reported a standalone net loss of Rs 1,170.50 million compared to a profit of Rs 456.31 million in FY2025. The loss was primarily due to exceptional items of Rs 2,033.07 million, which included a Rs 1,537.83 million write-off of investment in its French subsidiary Centum T&S Group Societe Anonyme (under bankruptcy/redressement judiciaire) and provisions of Rs 396 million for trade receivables and Rs 100.78 million for inventory related to discontinued Canadian operations. On a consolidated basis, revenue grew 28.7% to Rs 9,503.18 million, but the group reported a total loss of Rs 518.06 million due to Rs 1,525.17 million loss from discontinued operations. The Board recommended a 50% dividend (Rs 5 per share). Auditors issued an unmodified opinion on the financial statements.
Despite strong revenue growth of 25-29%, the company swung to significant losses due to exceptional write-offs related to overseas subsidiary restructuring. The dividend offers some shareholder return, but the large losses and ongoing subsidiary restructuring may weigh on the stock price near-term.
