On the reaction day the stock moved 4.6 pts more than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 5.1 pts more than its Power peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
CESC's board declared an interim dividend of Rs 6 per equity share for 2025-26, payable to shareholders on the register as of October 27, 2025. It also approved unaudited Q2 results: consolidated revenue from operations was Rs 5,267 crore and profit after tax Rs 445 crore, against Rs 4,700 crore and Rs 373 crore a year earlier. Six-month profit rose to Rs 849 crore from Rs 761 crore.
Eligible shareholders will receive Rs 6 per share. The payout and year-on-year profit growth may support sentiment, but the filing does not show dividend yield.
