CESC Limited reported standalone revenue from operations of ₹9,732 crore for FY2026, up 1.5% from ₹9,584 crore in FY2025. Standalone PAT grew 6.5% to ₹852 crore from ₹800 crore, with Q4 PAT at ₹223 crore vs ₹218 crore in Q4 FY25. Operating profit margin improved to 21.7% in Q4 FY26 from 19.9% in Q4 FY25. Consolidated revenue grew 9.2% to ₹18,570 crore with consolidated PAT of ₹1,618 crore, up 13.2% from ₹1,429 crore. The auditors (S.R. Batliboi & Co. LLP) issued unmodified opinions on both standalone and consolidated results. The Board also approved continuation of Mr. Paras Kumar Chowdhary as Independent Director pending shareholder approval. Notable regulatory matters include pending tariff appeals before APTEL regarding WBERC orders and the Sarisatoli coal mine dispute.
Steady improvement in profitability and margins reflects operational efficiency gains. No auditor qualifications reduce risk. However, pending regulatory disputes and related-party power purchase tariff uncertainties warrant monitoring.
