CESC reported Q2 FY27 consolidated revenue of Rs 5,686 crore, up 6%, while profit after tax was Rs 438 crore, down 2%. H1 revenue rose 6% to Rs 11,245 crore and profit was Rs 857 crore. Purvah Green agreed to acquire 1.4 GWp of solar assets for Rs 4,859 crore, expected to close by November 21, 2026. Purvah targets 10 GW of renewable capacity in a few years, with a 1,945 MW pipeline, eight power purchase agreements and one letter of award.
Growth and renewable assets may support future earnings and cash flow, while acquisition funding, execution and higher debt create risks.
