Chandra Prabhu International reported audited standalone results for FY2025-26 with revenue declining 39% to Rs 60,521 Lacs from Rs 99,426 Lacs in the prior year. However, net profit grew 23% to Rs 290.25 Lacs from Rs 236.11 Lacs, aided by exceptional gains of Rs 298.16 Lacs from derecognition of property in Gurugram and vehicles. EPS improved to Rs 1.05 (restated for bonus shares) versus Rs 0.85 previously. Q4 standalone showed strong profit of Rs 598.60 Lacs versus loss of Rs 11.69 Lacs in Q4 FY25. The company operates in Coal, Metal, and Agri Equipment segments. Borrowings were significantly reduced with short-term borrowings falling from Rs 8,064 Lacs to Rs 3,297 Lacs. Cash flow from operations turned positive at Rs 3,265 Lacs versus negative Rs 1,868 Lacs in FY25. Auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion.
Despite a sharp revenue decline of 39%, the company improved profitability through cost controls and exceptional gains. Significant debt reduction and positive operating cash flow strengthen the balance sheet. The bonus share issuance (1:2 ratio) may provide additional liquidity.
