Chatha Foods Limited reported standalone revenue from operations of Rs 8,408.66 lakhs for H1 FY26 (April–Sept 2025), up about 14% from Rs 7,383.87 lakhs in H1 FY25. Profit after tax stood at Rs 319.13 lakhs versus Rs 323.27 lakhs in the same period last year, marginally lower despite higher sales. Earnings per share came in at Rs 1.33 versus Rs 1.44 earlier. On a consolidated basis (newly added), revenue was Rs 8,405.68 lakhs and PAT was Rs 292.57 lakhs, lower due to the newly-formed JV subsidiary, Allana CF Foods Pvt Ltd (70% holding), which is still in plant set-up phase. The auditor (A Bafna & Co) issued an unqualified limited review report with no qualifications or emphasis of matter.
Top-line growth is healthy but profitability is under pressure – EBITDA margins have compressed and operating cash flow remains negative, signalling working-capital strain even as the company invests heavily in capex and a new JV processing plant. Shareholders should watch for margin recovery and JV commercial operations as near-term triggers.
