On the reaction day the stock moved 5.3 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 4.8 pts less than its Specialty Chemicals peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Chemplast Sanmar reported a Q1 FY27 standalone loss of Rs 49.29 Cr versus Rs 28.42 Cr loss a year ago, on revenue of Rs 592.32 Cr (up about 20 percent YoY). Consolidated loss widened sharply to Rs 175.58 Cr from Rs 64.25 Cr, dragged by the commodity chemicals segment which posted a loss before tax of Rs 166.40 Cr. A minor fire at the Karaikal EDC plant after quarter end disrupted operations, with financial impact under insurer assessment.
Sustained losses at subsidiary CCVL remain the main concern. Karaikal fire adds uncertainty on near-term output. No new exceptional charge this quarter.
