Chemtech Industrial Valves reported standalone Q2 FY26 (ended Sept 30, 2025) revenue from operations of Rs 509.84 lakhs, down sharply from Rs 956.62 lakhs in Q1 FY26 and Rs 849.12 lakhs in Q2 FY25. Half-year (H1 FY26) revenue stood at Rs 1,466.46 lakhs versus Rs 1,943.48 lakhs in H1 FY25, a decline of roughly 24.5%. Despite weak top-line, H1 net profit actually rose to Rs 423.36 lakhs from Rs 373.76 lakhs, aided by lower raw material costs and a sharp jump in other income (Rs 287 lakhs vs Rs 27.92 lakhs). Q2 standalone PAT was Rs 122.85 lakhs (down from Rs 156.26 lakhs YoY). Basic EPS for Q2 was Rs 0.68. Operating margins expanded meaningfully, with PBT margins rising to about 27% in Q2 FY26 from 23% in Q2 FY25. The limited review by Raju & Prasad is clean, with no qualifications or emphasis of matter flagged.
The steep revenue decline is a red flag for the core industrial valves business, but stronger margins and a one-off boost from other income cushioned earnings. Short-term stock reaction may be negative given the topline weakness, while investors will look for evidence of a revenue rebound in the second half.
