Cheviot Company Ltd reported annual revenue of ₹54,740.51 Lakhs for FY 2025-26, up from ₹43,942.61 Lakhs in the previous year (approx. 24.6% growth). However, profit before tax declined to ₹6,946.49 Lakhs from ₹7,510.37 Lakhs (down ~7.5%) and profit after tax fell to ₹5,169.15 Lakhs from ₹5,774.19 Lakhs (down ~10.5%). EPS dropped from ₹98.08 to ₹88.48. The auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion with no going concern issues. The Board recommended a final dividend of ₹25 per share (250%) totaling ₹1,460.47 Lakhs, subject to shareholder approval at the AGM on 6th August 2026. Cash position deteriorated significantly from ₹950.29 Lakhs to ₹294.96 Lakhs while current borrowings increased from ₹502.80 Lakhs to ₹725.10 Lakhs. Operating cash flow remained positive at ₹4,171.68 Lakhs.
Despite strong top-line growth of ~25%, the company's profitability declined due to higher raw material costs (up 45% to ₹33,794.03 Lakhs) compressing margins. The clean audit and dividend recommendation signal management confidence, but declining profits and tighter cash position warrant monitoring.
