Cholamandalam Financial Holdings reported strong audited results for FY26. Consolidated total income grew 18% to Rs. 39,576 Cr and consolidated PAT rose 16% to Rs. 5,485 Cr. The major subsidiary CIFCL (43.76% stake) saw disbursements jump 25% to Rs. 32,913 Cr in Q4 and PAT grow 23% to Rs. 5,220 Cr for the year, with assets under management up 21% to Rs. 2,42,630 Cr. However, the general insurance subsidiary CMSGICL (60% stake) saw PAT decline 48% to Rs. 253 Cr due to fair value changes in equity, posting a Q4 loss of Rs. 5 Cr versus profit of Rs. 118 Cr in Q4 FY25. The Board recommended a dividend of Rs. 1.30 per share.
Strong performance in the core NBFC business with 23% PAT growth and 25% disbursement growth is positive for shareholders, though the insurance subsidiary's profitability decline and fair value losses warrant monitoring.
