Cholamandalam Financial Holdings Limited reported strong FY26 results with consolidated total income of Rs. 39,576 Cr, up 18% YoY, and consolidated PAT of Rs. 5,485 Cr, up 16% YoY. The flagship subsidiary Cholamandalam Investment & Finance Company (CIFCL) drove growth with PAT of Rs. 5,220 Cr, up 23% YoY, and disbursements growing 25% to Rs. 32,913 Cr in Q4. Assets under management grew 21% to Rs. 2,42,630 Cr. However, the general insurance subsidiary CMSGICL saw PAT drop sharply to Rs. 253 Cr from Rs. 484 Cr due to fair value changes in equity, swinging to a Q4 loss of Rs. 5 Cr from a Rs. 118 Cr profit a year ago. Standalone PAT grew modestly by 9% to Rs. 70.41 Cr. The board recommended a dividend of Rs. 1.30 per share (130%).
Overall positive performance with strong growth in lending business, though the insurance subsidiary's profit decline and fair value losses are a watch item for investors monitoring the group's diversified financials.
