Cineline India (MOVIEW cinema chain) reported Q1 FY27 revenue of Rs 5,927 lakhs, up 31 percent from Rs 4,529 lakhs YoY. Operating profit swung to Rs 6 lakhs from a loss of Rs 270 lakhs. However, a fire at Pacific Mall Kaushambi on May 21 led to a Rs 154 lakh exceptional loss from damaged assets. Net loss for the quarter stood at Rs 121 lakhs versus Rs 206 lakhs last year. Insurance claims have been filed. Auditor gave an unmodified review.
Revenue growth is strong but bottom line remains in loss due to one-time fire damage at one cinema. Insurance recovery could lift future results.
