Cineline India (MovieMax) reported Q1 FY27 revenue of INR 6,002 lakh, up 28% YoY, driven by 29% growth in admissions to 18 lakh and 32% rise in net box office collections. EBITDA doubled to 605 lakh with margins expanding 380 bps to 10.1%. PAT turned positive at 34 lakh versus a loss, though it includes an exceptional item from a fire at Ghaziabad. Cash PAT grew 34% to 477 lakh. The company plans to add 20-25 screens in FY27, including 3 in Gurgaon in Q2, and is expanding into South India via an asset-light O&M model.
Strong quarter with revenue growth, margin expansion, and screen expansion guidance. PAT is constrained by a one-time fire incident loss.
