City Union Bank reported FY25 total income of Rs. 6,732 crore, up about 12% from Rs. 6,012 crore in FY24. Net profit for the full year stood at Rs. 1,124 crore compared to Rs. 1,016 crore last year, a growth of roughly 11%. For Q4 FY25 alone, net profit was Rs. 286 crore versus Rs. 255 crore in Q4 FY24. Basic EPS improved to Rs. 15.17 (FY25) from Rs. 13.72 (FY24). Asset quality improved with Net NPA at 1.25% (vs 1.42% in FY24), while Gross NPA was 3.99%. Capital adequacy ratio remained strong at 22.26%. The Board has recommended a dividend of Rs. 2 per share (200%) versus 150% in the previous year, subject to shareholder approval.
The results are positive for shareholders — steady profit growth, improving asset quality, and a higher dividend payout signal financial health. The clean (unmodified) auditor opinion and unchanged business focus on retail/banking segments should support investor confidence, though the investment accounting policy change means prior year numbers are not strictly comparable.
