City Union Bank reported FY 2025 Profit After Tax of Rs 1,124 Cr, up 11% from Rs 1,016 Cr last year. Q4 FY25 PAT grew 13% YoY to Rs 288 Cr. Net Interest Income for FY25 rose 9% to Rs 2,316 Cr, while total income grew 12% to Rs 6,732 Cr. Deposits and advances both grew 14% to Rs 63,526 Cr and Rs 53,066 Cr respectively. Asset quality improved sharply with Gross NPA falling to 3.09% (from 3.99%) and Net NPA dropping to 1.25% (from 1.97%), marking seven consecutive quarters of sequential decline. The bank remains well-capitalized with a Capital Adequacy Ratio of 23.75% and Tier-1 at 22.70%.
This is a healthy quarterly showing for shareholders — steady double-digit profit growth, strong 14% loan and deposit expansion, and notable improvement in bad loans reinforce the bank's credit quality story. However, slight compression in Net Interest Margin (3.60% vs 3.65%) and a higher Cost-to-Income Ratio (47.77% vs 47.06%) suggest some margin pressure, which investors should monitor.
