City Union Bank reported strong FY26 results with Profit After Tax rising 18% to Rs. 1,326 Cr from Rs. 1,124 Cr in FY25. Q4 FY26 was the bank's highest-ever quarterly PAT at Rs. 360 Cr, up 25% YoY. Total income grew 20% in Q4 to Rs. 2,146 Cr, driven by a 21% jump in interest income and 31% growth in net interest income. Deposits rose 23% to Rs. 78,308 Cr and advances grew 26% to Rs. 66,699 Cr, with CASA at 28% of deposits. Asset quality improved sharply with Gross NPA falling to 1.91% (from 3.09%) and Net NPA to 0.68% (from 1.25%). NIM improved to 3.74%, RoE to 13.35%, and capital adequacy stood at a strong 21.92%.
Strong, broad-based growth across income, profitability, deposits, advances and asset quality, combined with healthy capital ratios, is positive for shareholders. Lower NPAs and expanding margins may support the stock, though cost-to-income ratio remains elevated near 48%.
