CLN Energy reported standalone revenue from operations of Rs 15,199.86 lakhs for H1 FY26, up about 5.8% from Rs 14,435.18 lakhs in H1 FY25. Net profit rose modestly to Rs 856.80 lakhs from Rs 828.54 lakhs, with EPS of Rs 8.12 versus Rs 9.60 a year ago. The company acquired a 40.1% stake in Electrovault Power Pvt Ltd in June 2025, making it an associate. Cash flow from operations was sharply negative at Rs -5,769.17 lakhs, and short-term borrowings surged from Rs 1,581.73 lakhs to Rs 10,021.64 lakhs to fund the working capital gap. Trade receivables also swelled from Rs 7,520.88 lakhs to Rs 12,312.94 lakhs. The auditor issued an unqualified limited review report, noting only an 'Other Matters' reference to the newly acquired associate.
Topline growth is steady but bottomline growth is muted despite improved operating margins, while a deeply negative operating cash flow and a sharp jump in receivables and borrowings point to significant working capital strain — shareholders should watch for collection issues and rising finance costs in coming quarters.
