On the reaction day the stock moved 0.6 pts more than Nifty 100 and 1.1 pts more than its Oil Gas & Consumable Fuels peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Coal India board approved in-principle listing of wholly owned subsidiary Mahanadi Coalfields (MCL) on the stock exchanges, following the Ministry of Coal's directive to list subsidiaries MCL and SECL. The listing is subject to completion of regulatory approvals and will be sent to MoC for onward submission to DIPAM.
Potential value unlocking for shareholders if MCL listing is completed, but still subject to regulatory clearances and further approvals.
