Coastal Roadways' board approved unaudited results for Q2 and H1 FY25-26 on 13 November 2025. Total income for H1 FY26 stood at about ₹41.52 crore versus ₹39.44 crore (restated) for H1 FY25, indicating roughly 5% year-on-year revenue growth on a like-for-like basis. Profit after tax for H1 FY26 came in at approximately ₹1.72 crore, up around 29% from the restated H1 FY25 PAT of ₹1.33 crore. The company materially restated prior period figures after correcting an error in how fair value changes on mutual fund investments (FVTPL) were recognised, which lifted H1 FY25 PAT from ₹0.50 crore to ₹1.33 crore. The restatement is non-cash and does not affect operating cash flows, and statutory auditors Patanjali & Co. issued an unqualified Limited Review report.
For shareholders, the restatement improves the reliability of historical numbers and brings accounting in line with Ind AS 8/109, but it also means previously reported profits were understated. The clean auditor's report and double-digit PAT growth on a restated basis are positives, while modest revenue growth and the heavy reliance on mutual fund fair-value gains for headline profit warrant a closer look at core operating performance.
