On the reaction day the stock moved 2.5 pts less than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 2.3 pts less than its Pharmaceuticals peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Encumbrance over 21,99,30,170 shares (57.49 percent of share capital) of Cohance Lifesciences held by promoters Berhyanda (33.34 percent) and Jusmiral Holdings (24.15 percent) has been fully released effective June 16, 2026. The release followed full repayment of notes issued under a May 2024 Notes Purchase Agreement. The encumbrance was indirect, created via covenants and offshore pledge agreements on the promoter holding entities, not directly on company shares.
Positive for shareholders: promoter shares freed from encumbrance, reducing pledge risk and signalling improved financial flexibility after debt repayment.
