Colorchips New Media reported total income from operations of about Rs. 14.04 lakh in Q2 FY26 (Jul-Sep 2025), down from Rs. 22.10 lakh in Q2 FY25, a roughly 36% year-on-year drop. For the half-year (H1 FY26), revenue stood at around Rs. 26.15 lakh versus Rs. 47.01 lakh in H1 FY25, a steeper ~44% fall. The company swung to a loss of about Rs. 65 lakh in Q2 FY26 and Rs. 97 lakh in H1 FY26, wider than the Rs. 51 lakh loss in H1 FY25, taking EPS to negative Rs. 0.57 for the half-year. Balance sheet shows reserves shrinking to about Rs. 1.56 crore (from Rs. 2.53 crore at March 2025) and cash on hand of just about Rs. 10.45 lakh, with no long-term borrowings. Statutory auditor Pavan & Associates issued a clean, unqualified limited review report with no qualifications or emphasis of matter. A prior period extraordinary item of about Rs. 88.5 lakh had been booked for a provision for loss in market value of investments.
Deteriorating topline with widening losses and a very thin cash pile raise serious concerns about near-term liquidity and operational viability, making this a high-risk, loss-making quarter for shareholders to monitor closely.
