Computer Point Limited submitted its audited standalone financial results for Q4 and full year ended March 31, 2020. Revenue from operations collapsed dramatically from Rs 197.28 lakhs in FY19 to just Rs 2.67 lakhs in FY20, a decline of nearly 99%. Total revenue fell from Rs 384.22 lakhs to Rs 156.24 lakhs, with most income coming from 'other income' rather than core operations. Net profit for the year was a razor-thin Rs 0.98 lakhs, down from Rs 1.94 lakhs, and Q4 alone slipped into a loss of Rs 0.63 lakhs. The auditor issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the results. Operating cash flow remained deeply negative at Rs (172.00) lakhs, and cash and cash equivalents shrank to just Rs 8.57 lakhs from Rs 27.00 lakhs the previous year.
The near-total collapse in core operating revenue, combined with persistently negative operating cash flow and a rapidly depleting cash balance, raises serious concerns about the company's business viability, despite the clean auditor's opinion. Shareholders should view this as a high-risk situation with the company heavily dependent on non-operating income to stay marginally profitable.
