Concord Control Systems (BSE: CNCRD) has announced a preferential equity issue of up to 2,38,500 fully paid-up shares at Rs. 2,100 per share, aiming to raise approximately Rs. 50.08 crore. The issue is subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals. Existing investors Ashish Rameshchandra Kacholia and the Sanshi Fund group are participating, along with a new investor, Sage One Flagship Growth Open-Ended Fund. The company, which manufactures embedded electronic systems for Indian Railways, plans to use the capital to expand production capacity, invest in new technologies, and grow its presence in the automation and railway electronics sector.
The capital infusion from marquee investors signals strong confidence in the company's growth trajectory and supports expansion plans. However, existing shareholders may face some equity dilution given the fresh issue of shares at a premium.
