The board of Cords Cable Industries approved its Q3 FY26 (ended 31 Dec 2025) unaudited financial results along with the limited review report from statutory auditor Alok Misra & Co., which is clean and unqualified. Revenue from operations for Q3 stood at Rs 23,560.52 lakhs, up about 14.7% year-on-year from Rs 20,540.44 lakhs; for the nine months, revenue rose roughly 6.5% to Rs 68,700.31 lakhs from Rs 64,531.82 lakhs. However, profitability was under pressure - cost of materials consumed jumped around 30% year-on-year for the nine months (Rs 59,643.66 lakhs vs Rs 45,795.96 lakhs), and finance costs also rose, which dragged down profit before tax (Rs 1,360.13 lakhs for 9M FY26 vs Rs 1,964.22 lakhs for 9M FY25). Basic EPS for 9M FY26 came in at Rs 7.84 versus Rs 13.25 in the previous year, confirming a sharp YoY drop in earnings despite top-line growth. The company confirmed there are no exceptional items and no subsidiaries, joint ventures, or associates.
Mixed quarter for shareholders - healthy double-digit revenue growth in Q3 is positive, but the steep rise in raw material costs and finance charges has squeezed profitability, with EPS nearly halving year-on-year. Near-term stock sentiment may be cautious until margin recovery is visible.
