Coromandel Engineering reported strong revenue growth in Q2 FY26 with operating revenue of Rs. 1,344.30 lakhs, up about 35% from Rs. 994.05 lakhs in Q2 FY25. For the half year (H1 FY26), revenue rose to Rs. 2,203.31 lakhs from Rs. 1,754.20 lakhs, a 25.6% YoY increase. Despite the topline growth, the company posted a small profit of Rs. 3.39 lakhs in Q2 but a net loss of Rs. 69.12 lakhs for H1 FY26, though the loss narrowed sharply from Rs. 305.01 lakhs in H1 FY25. Operating cash flow remained deeply negative at Rs. -315.15 lakhs for the half year. The auditor (CNGSN & Associates LLP) issued an unmodified limited review report with no qualifications or emphasis of matter.
Revenue momentum is encouraging, but the company is still loss-making at the half-year level with negative operating cash flow and accumulated losses of Rs. 2,507.76 lakhs sitting against total equity of Rs. 1,296.33 lakhs, signalling weak shareholder cushion. Total borrowings of around Rs. 2,034 lakhs against modest equity suggest elevated leverage; shareholders should watch for sustained profitability and working capital improvements in coming quarters.
