Cube Highways and Infrastructure III Pte. Ltd., one of the Sponsors of Cube Highways Trust (InvIT), has disclosed the release of an encumbrance that was previously created on its units. The encumbrance was created on September 22, 2025 and released on February 16, 2026. A total of 78,044,436 units (about 5.81% of total outstanding units) have been released, which represents 27.91% of the Sponsor's total holding of 279,654,900 units (20.81%). The disclosure was made under SEBI's Master Circular regulations governing InvITs.
Release of encumbrance is generally a positive signal as it reduces the pledge overhang on the Sponsor's units and increases freely tradeable holdings. However, with most units still encumbered, the broader financial position of the Sponsor remains a watch point for unitholders.
