Cummins India's board met on August 7, 2025 and approved unaudited financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Consolidated revenue from operations rose to ₹2,858.71 Cr, up about 25.7% from ₹2,273.87 Cr in Q1 FY25. Consolidated profit after tax jumped to ₹603.90 Cr (vs ₹462.61 Cr, up ~30.5%), while standalone PAT grew to ₹589.27 Cr (vs ₹419.80 Cr, up ~40.4%). EPS for the quarter stood at ₹21.79 (consolidated) and ₹21.26 (standalone). The results include an exceptional gain of ₹12.59 Cr (consolidated) and ₹44.15 Cr (standalone) from the sale of its wholly-owned subsidiary Cummins Sales & Service Private Limited (CSSPL). The board also appointed two new directors — Thierry Bruno Pimi Nouyeuwe (Non-Executive, Non-Independent) and Vibha Paul Rishi (Non-Executive, Independent for 5 years) — and approved a postal ballot to seek shareholder approval for their appointments.
Strong double-digit growth in both revenue and profit reflects robust demand and improved operating performance, likely to be viewed positively by the stock. The one-time gain from the CSSPL sale adds to headline earnings but is non-recurring. New director appointments bring international operations and consumer-marketing expertise to the board.
