ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund has disclosed a net sale of 56,73,461 shares (2.05% of paid-up capital) in Cummins India Ltd through the secondary market between April 25, 2025 and August 20, 2025. As a result, the fund's holding has dropped from 1,39,10,807 shares (5.02%) to 82,37,326 shares (2.97%) of the company. The fund stated this is purely from an investment perspective and not aimed at gaining any control in the company. This disclosure was filed under Regulation 29(2) of SEBI's SAST Regulations because the holding declined by more than 2% compared to the previous disclosure.
A significant institutional investor trimming its stake by roughly 40% of its previous holding could create short-term selling pressure on the stock.
