Cyient posted Q1 FY26 consolidated revenue of around Rs 20,757 Mn, up 21% YoY from Rs 17,118 Mn, partly aided by the Kinetic Technologies acquisition (closed April 2026). Net profit fell to Rs 1,087 Mn from Rs 1,574 Mn YoY. Operating margin (EBITDA proxy) compressed to about 13% from 17.4%. The company signed a deal to acquire TAO Digital for about USD 218 Mn, completed a Rs 7,200 Mn share buyback at Rs 1,125 per share, and appointed Mr. Muralidhar Yadama as Independent Director. Auditor issued an unmodified review report.
Mixed results: strong topline growth but margin compression and profit decline; both acquisitions and buyback point to active capital allocation.
