D.P. Abhushan Limited, a gems and jewellery company, reported strong annual results for FY26. Revenue from operations grew 23% to Rs 4,06,513 lakh from Rs 3,31,079 lakh in FY25. Profit after tax nearly doubled, rising 88% to Rs 21,184 lakh from Rs 11,270 lakh. Basic EPS improved significantly to Rs 92.97 from Rs 50.04. The company achieved EBITDA of Rs 30,967 lakh with margins expanding from 4.7% to 7.6%. However, operating cash flow remained deeply negative at Rs 9,731 lakh due to a sharp Rs 28,184 lakh increase in inventories, despite the company reporting a net profit. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified opinion with no qualifications.
The company showed exceptional profit growth and margin expansion, which is positive for shareholders. However, the significant negative operating cash flow driven by inventory buildup is a concern and may warrant monitoring of working capital management and liquidity position.
